Make Rice Krispie Christmas Trees!
Follow this amazing recipe, it looks really easy to do! All you need is White chocolate, green food colouring (oil based) and Rice Krispies!

Oh no you won’t, oh yes you will! There’s nothing like a good panto to fill you with Christmas Glee. Get down the Wakefield Theatre Royal to see Sleeping beauty and have a great time with your family! Tickets are cheap for this great performance and hidden behind that Dame costume is none other than Topsy and Tim’s dad! (you will know who I mean if you have young children!)
Wakefield Hospice Light up a Life services Wakefield Cathedral 2pm and 5pm.
Remember someone special this Christmas. Honour a loved one who has passed away or can’t be with you by sponsoring a light on the tree to help the Hospice provide quality care for local families in the Wakefield area. Put your tree up!
Or a felt tree. Hobbycraft have a lovely felt tree that can hang on a wall. Young children can enjoy decorating it with felt baubles, presents and decorations. Lots of fun! Ours is up now!

Carols at Copley’s
Farmer Copley’s yearly Christmas carol event. Go along and listen to some festive carols and a short Christmas message. 6pm for a 6:30pm start
Christmas at Pugneys. This is running on the 9th and the 10th.
Join Santa and his little helpers for a fun session with Santa’s interactive story time, Rudolph’s Reindeer Ramble and Santa’s Grotto. Two sessions are running from 10.00 – 12.20 and 12:50 – 15.15.

Twilight heritage walk at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
Join an experienced Heritage Team with a winter walk and talk around the Park’s historic lakes and woodland by candlelight and finish the tour with a warm winter drink and treat. Beauty and the Beast Ballet
What a treat! Why not go along and see Beauty and the Beast performed by the Northern ballet company at the Grand Theatre, Leeds. Set to a classical score not to be missed! This runs until 7th of January.

Santa Specials at Kirklees Light Railway
Climb aboard the Santa Express and travel in steam heated carriages from the station to Shelley Station. Santa will be waiting in his cosy grotto with sacks full of presents for the children. Adults waiting will be treated to a mince pie and festive drink, children receive juice and biscuits in the heated marquee. Write a letter to Santa, play in the outdoor playground or complete activity sheets. Photo’s permitted! Runs from 26th November to 24th December.
